Has it really been over a year since I posted on this blog? Well, of course it has. So I won't act so surprised and unknowing. I did have and raise a 14 month old in the process. It's kind of a good excuse. But now that Elise is one, I can start focusing again on the outside world...it's still out there! What about that! In thinking about what I should share with you on the resurrection of this blog, the choice seemed pretty easy.
Marche. The "e" in Marche really has one of those French accents on the end, but I don't know how to type one of those out here. So just imagine it. Actually, you don't have to imagine...

Anyway, I'm picking Marche because Matt and I have been there twice in the past week, for both of our birthdays. So, we must like it. It's a tried and true Eugene fave.

Okay, I don't know who this guy is. But the picture made me laugh so here he is on my blog. But look at his plate. That's what I'm talking about. Marche is all about using local and seasonal fare to come up with super fresh, tasty, and creative dishes. On Matt's birthday I ordered the Basil Souffle. It was so super yummy with a sauce that was out of this world and veggies that couldn't taste more like summer, that Matt ordered it when we went back next week. And, the veggies were different, a verification that they really use ingredients that are fresh and available that day.

Marche also has a cute little location on campus, and a little market that sells coffee, desserts, and gifts. I think I'll save that one for another post.
